Piano

I've been playing the piano since I was six. I love playing piano. I placed second in two piano competitions. So I always wonder why I barely know anyone who plays the piano, or at least, seriously.
People think piano is boring and difficult. But that's like anything else! You can't give up just because starting is slow.

The only things I don't like is practicing for an hour a day and not being able to take my piano on trips with me.

I'm practicing four pieces now-

This one is my favorite.

I also play this one.

What instruments do you play?

I have a cold. I don't think I'll post from Christmas Day-New Years day.

  1. I also play the piano, although I haven't been playing for nearly as long as you have. I play while the offering is being passed around my church usually on Sunday nights. Those songs that you posted are very pretty, and terrifyingly complicated. :-D

  2. I've played violin for like, five years. And I love it so so much :)

Maybe we should get together and throw a piano-violin concert... :P

Hope you get better soon, girlfriend <3 And I like the blog design ;)

  3. I like your blog design. :D

    I've been playing piano for about 5 years, but we no longer have a teacher because no one in this podunk town offers lessons. ;-;
I'm trying to keep playing regularly, but its hard because I never have time.

  4. I used to take violin. I didn't quit taking. We just couldn't find another teacher for me. The first one was awful, the second I couldn't take from anymore, the third moved away, and the forth was awful. After the forth, we didn't have much to choose from. There aren't many violin teahers here. =P I was really good at it too. I was first chair. (Not to brag or anything. ;D) I haven't played in so long that I'd have to really work hard to catch back up. I have considered taking it up again, but the program we would use is expensive. I want to be sure before I take it again.

  5. I play violin too!!! I also play the viola. I like both, but right now I'm playing the viola in orchestra, and I'm one of two violists. Yay Leia, First Chair!!!!!!! I'm Principal Viola in my Orchestra, and I've only been playing the viola for around six months!!!! Violin is more competitive in Orchestra, but I still play it by myself. I have been playing it for eight years now. I have alot of experience with the Violin, and I know alot more songs. That's so cool that you play piano, Amaranthine, my cousin and my sister play, and I think it's a cool instrument. Not boring at all!!
BTW, I have a cold too. I'm just getting over it. I think that this is the first year I'm sick at Christmas.

three amazing--and relatively little known--psalms

So I'm reading Psalms in the Bible right now. Well, Psalms is one of the three places I read from. I'm reading the Bible all the way through and read two chapters from three places--the Old Testament, the middle of the Old Testament, and the New Testament--every day. I'm in Deuteronomy and Romans in the other sections, but in the middle I'm still right where I started from-Psalms. Cause Psalms is really really long. I was getting kind of tired of Psalms(which isn't really the right attitude to be reading the Bible in). But I realized there are some really breathtaking passages in Psalms, and I'm glad I read them. These are my three favorites: *Buck Forester on Flikr Psalm 65 This one is about God's spectacular creation. What mighty praise, O God,      belongs to you in Zion. We will fulfill our vows to you, 2       for you answer our prayers.      All of us must come to you. 3  Though we are overwhelmed by our sins,      you forgive them a

Howl's Moving Castle book analysis

“I feel ill. I'm going to bed, where I may die.” ― Howl, upon having a cold. I've decided to call them "book analysis" because they're not really reviews that tell you how much I liked the book, rather,  me taking the book apart and looking at different aspects of it for my own entertainment. Read on. Also, read Howl's Moving Castle. This is the original cover of Howl's Moving Castle and I have got to say it is the UGLIEST thing I have ever seen. I like the new one much better. Ahem. First of all, I should point out that Howl's Moving Castle is a children's book. However, I like to hold all books I read to the same standard, after all, they're written by adults. I had biased expectations of Howl's Moving Castle from the start, because I kept hearing from several sources how amazing, how fantastic, how hilarious and how romantic the book was, and hearing the perfectly gorgeous soundtrack by Joe Hizazi(somethin

Ciel Phantomhive vs. Artemis Fowl

Don't laugh. XD The similarities between the two characters are so distinct and obvious that comparison is inevitable for anyone who's read/watched both series. I seriously thought when I first noticed Black Butler(more popularly referred to as Kuroshitsuji) that it was literally an anime adaption of Artemis Fowl.  Other people have read Artemis Fowl and thought "CIEL HAS A CLONE??!?" So I thought I'd outline some of the differences and analyze who would win. XD Similarities: Appearance:  This is the first similarity, and one of the most major, because if they didn't look so darn alike I don't think the comparison would have been as striking. The above picture of Artemis is a fanart, because there aren't really any good pictures of Artemis, and the manga style makes it more obvious. They are both from the British Isles and have black hair and blue eyes. Both of them lose/change/switch an eye resulting in two different colors.
