Beautiful People and Up Balloons

Here is a writers meme. It is by Sky.

Now who should I write it for?
Oh, I know. You guys don't know much about my next project. I'll do this for that project then.

What is their full name?

My character's full name is Liadan Nyssa Meridian.I'm one for very fancy names.

Does his or her name have a special meaning?
"Liadan" is from one of my favorite fanfictions. "Nyssa" is stolen from Qui's former pen name. A prime meridian goes around the earth.

Does your character have a methodical or disorganized personality?
Methodical.

Does he or she think inside themselves more than they talk out loud to their friends? (more importantly, does he or she actually have friends?)
Liadan is rather introverted. She has a big family and later gets a good friend.

Is there something he or she is afraid of?
Her mother. More on that later.

Does he or she write, dream, dance, sing, or photograph?
She starts dancing purely because it was the school elective that took up the most time. She likes to spend time at school because she doesn't like to be at home.

What is his or her favorite book? (or genre of books)
Books? What are these "books"? She isn't really a bookish person. She DOESN'T like poetry, though.

Who is his or her favorite author and/or someone that inspires him or her?
A major part of the story is when she helps a woman reconnect with the woman's family. This inspires her to reconnect with her mother. So that woman inspired her. No name's yet.

Favorite flavor of ice cream?
Pistachio. Or at least that's MY favorite.
Favorite season of the year?
Spring!

We had to link to these posts, so I'm sure Sky is reading this. Hi, Sky! I love your blog and this meme and it helped me learn about my character.

Oh, and check out this cool video where people built a person-sized house and put balloons on it for real.

three amazing--and relatively little known--psalms

So I'm reading Psalms in the Bible right now. Well, Psalms is one of the three places I read from. I'm reading the Bible all the way through and read two chapters from three places--the Old Testament, the middle of the Old Testament, and the New Testament--every day. I'm in Deuteronomy and Romans in the other sections, but in the middle I'm still right where I started from-Psalms. Cause Psalms is really really long. I was getting kind of tired of Psalms(which isn't really the right attitude to be reading the Bible in). But I realized there are some really breathtaking passages in Psalms, and I'm glad I read them. These are my three favorites: *Buck Forester on Flikr Psalm 65 This one is about God's spectacular creation. What mighty praise, O God,      belongs to you in Zion. We will fulfill our vows to you, 2       for you answer our prayers.      All of us must come to you. 3  Though we are overwhelmed by our sins,      you forgive them a

Howl's Moving Castle book analysis

“I feel ill. I'm going to bed, where I may die.” ― Howl, upon having a cold. I've decided to call them "book analysis" because they're not really reviews that tell you how much I liked the book, rather,  me taking the book apart and looking at different aspects of it for my own entertainment. Read on. Also, read Howl's Moving Castle. This is the original cover of Howl's Moving Castle and I have got to say it is the UGLIEST thing I have ever seen. I like the new one much better. Ahem. First of all, I should point out that Howl's Moving Castle is a children's book. However, I like to hold all books I read to the same standard, after all, they're written by adults. I had biased expectations of Howl's Moving Castle from the start, because I kept hearing from several sources how amazing, how fantastic, how hilarious and how romantic the book was, and hearing the perfectly gorgeous soundtrack by Joe Hizazi(somethin

Ciel Phantomhive vs. Artemis Fowl

Don't laugh. XD The similarities between the two characters are so distinct and obvious that comparison is inevitable for anyone who's read/watched both series. I seriously thought when I first noticed Black Butler(more popularly referred to as Kuroshitsuji) that it was literally an anime adaption of Artemis Fowl.  Other people have read Artemis Fowl and thought "CIEL HAS A CLONE??!?" So I thought I'd outline some of the differences and analyze who would win. XD Similarities: Appearance:  This is the first similarity, and one of the most major, because if they didn't look so darn alike I don't think the comparison would have been as striking. The above picture of Artemis is a fanart, because there aren't really any good pictures of Artemis, and the manga style makes it more obvious. They are both from the British Isles and have black hair and blue eyes. Both of them lose/change/switch an eye resulting in two different colors.
