It seems like my whole last two months have been leading up to this...I'm WAY more excited than nervous...but still. I've prayed and planned and prepared and stressed....
For a better description of what GAM is, skip back a year and check out my post around this time. (the title of the post is "is slowly squeezing the life out of me day by day" or something like that.
In other news, I realized I had my two-year blogoversary two weeks ago, and I didn't even notice.
This passage from Job describes how I've been feeling lately:
Job 23 8-13
I go east, but God is not there.
I go west, but I cannot find him.
9 I do not see him in the north, for he is hidden.
I look to the south, but he is concealed.
I go west, but I cannot find him.
9 I do not see him in the north, for he is hidden.
I look to the south, but he is concealed.
10 “But he knows where I am going.
And when he tests me, I will come out as pure as gold.
11 For I have stayed on God’s paths;
I have followed his ways and not turned aside.
12 I have not departed from his commands,
but have treasured his words more than daily food.
13 But once he has made his decision, who can change his mind?
Whatever he wants to do, he does.
14 So he will do to me whatever he has planned.
He controls my destiny.
And when he tests me, I will come out as pure as gold.
11 For I have stayed on God’s paths;
I'll post descriptions and pictures when I get back.
Lovely verse! I know a lot of people consider the book of Job depressing, but I find much comfort in it. It's probably my favorite book of the Bible.
