Real Life Anime People

Recently read this article on plugged, on people who use extreme makeup/contact lenses/plastic surgery to make them look like(or similar to) anime characters on a daily basis..(similar to the whole elf ears thing)

"The 19-year-old girl pictured for instance, is Anastasiya Shpagina, a Ukrainian girl who has hundreds of thousands of followers on YouTube and Facebook. Looking like someone right out of the anime world that inspires her, the 5-foot-2 woman reshapes herself with enormous eyes, flawless skin, a teeny-tiny waist, a coquettish pose, a defined butterfly-lipped pout and very brightly colored hairstyle. She's even taken on the moniker of Fukkacumi, a name straight out of a Japanese comic. Click here to see Anastasiya demonstrate how she makes up her eyes—a painstaking process complete with oversized contact lenses and huge eyelashes that can take somewhere north of 30 minutes per eye to accomplish. Britain's Daily Mail reported that the young girl is even considering constructive surgery on her eyes."

This is why people are scared of anime fans.

But seriously.....the elf ears were at least subtle. I can see someone doing something like this at SDCC or Halloween, but every day? And surgery too....eeesh.

I mean, live and let live...I guess...As long as it doesn't catch on. This is how I imagine the Pretties surgery from Uglies to end up like.

Like, I love anime just as much as the next person...but this seems a little over the top  IS SCARY.

From a different point of view, the only really dramatic change is really really really really big fake eyelashes and the circle lenses that make the irises look bigger. People already wear super big eyelashes...and in the last picture they are sort of a creepy way. I think it's the makeup/surgery that makes her skin look so...plasticky.. AND HER WAIST TOO JUST LOOK AT IT.

I just don't think this is helping to break the crazy anime fangirl stereotype......I love anime(am listening to Hetalia's "Absolutely Invincible British Gentleman" as I write this) but I seriously hope I(and everybody else) don't end up this way. XD

  1. Oh wow. Scary on so many levels.

She'll regret doing that when she is 70.....

Oh. Dear. Force. She looks like a live doll! That's uh-er... c-creepy. So creepy.
Most of my friends are anime fans, but they're never this extreme.

  10. This is really fascinating to me. I'm not judging. They only concern would be any potential health risks

updates on life(aka excuses to post tumblr gifs)

If I had to describe my life in one word right now, it'd be cold. Brr.

Let's see..what's happening?

I got my back bend kickover from le ground in acro. It's awesome. :) I never thought I'd be able to do it XD

Of course, it's not with straight legs(yet). And I don't hit my splits in the middle. Come to think of it, it's actually sort of a back flop-over.

I read Skeleton Key and Eagle Strike(next two Alex Rider books) last night. The series has gotten better, but it still has the same problems. Just like Suzanne Collins makes the simplest events seem chilling and scary, the numerous random deaths in Alex Rider are just like "meh...whatever."

They all still have similar plots. Such as:

1. The book opens with some sort of mysterious circumstance. Usually an assasination or an exchange where one of the members gets stabbed in the back(sometimes literal, sometimes not) and killed. Either way, someone usually dies.
2. Alex Rider is hanging out drinkin…

Ciel Phantomhive vs. Artemis Fowl

Don't laugh. XD
The similarities between the two characters are so distinct and obvious that comparison is inevitable for anyone who's read/watched both series. I seriously thought when I first noticed Black Butler(more popularly referred to as Kuroshitsuji) that it was literally an anime adaption of Artemis Fowl.  Other people have read Artemis Fowl and thought "CIEL HAS A CLONE??!?"
So I thought I'd outline some of the differences and analyze who would win. XD
Appearance:  This is the first similarity, and one of the most major, because if they didn't look so darn alike I don't think the comparison would have been as striking. The above picture of Artemis is a fanart, because there aren't really any good pictures of Artemis, and the manga style makes it more obvious. They are both from the British Isles and have black hair and blue eyes. Both of them lose/change/switch an eye resulting in two different colors.
Circumstance: They both s…

Sorry I didn't post yesterday I was at a TV show taping in Hollywood.
