Do you love somebody? What percent of couples at your schoo l fit this description? What percent of so called "love" in the world fits this description?  "Love is patient.   Love is kind . It does not envy It does not boast It is not proud It is not rude It is not self-seeking it is not easily angered , it keeps no record of wrongs . Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.   It always protects , always trusts , always hopes, always perseveres"   .Love never fails. People's version of love is screwed. Love isn't an emotion, it's an action. This list is all verbs. Love does. "Love" at first sight is impossible. That's not love, because "Love at first sight" is all about me. A lot of people who "fell out of love" or "lost their feelings" were never in love in the first place. Their "love" was all about you meeting my needs. You fufilling my desires

this song makes me want to cry and laugh at the same time

Abby aka The Director did this song as part of her post. I'm reposting it. Without looking up anything about where this song is from , listen to it. What does it make you think of? To me, it reminds me of worlds far away a long time ago. It's part of a movie soundtrack, and it's unique because it's very subdued and quiet. It's beautiful and fantastic, with a touch of magic.

I'm back.

and I have a bad stomach cramp. :(  I just felt like I had to post or else you would think I died or something. We spent the entire ride there and back listening to Artemis Fowl books on audiobook. I love Potter Puppet Pals. This post deserves to be drug out into the street and hung.(Drug? Drug?(shakes head) I will attempt to salvage it with some Artemis Fowl quotes. "Butler could kill you a hundred different ways without use of his armoury. Though I'm sure one would be quite sufficient." — Eoin Colfer ( Artemis Fowl )  "Let's save some time here. I grow weary of your clumsy bluffs. In the case of an abduction, the LEP will send a crack Retrieval team to get back what has been lost.. You have done so. Excuse me while I titter. Crack team? Honestly. A Cub-Scout patrol armed with water pistols could have defeated them." — Eoin Colfer ( Artemis Fowl )  "Peace be inside me, toleranc

Sequoia camping!

On Sunday, some friends invited us to go camping in the Sequoias with them. This Thursday. I'm really excited, partly because I love camping and partly because it's a five hour drive up and I have Artemis Fowl audiobooks. :D So I won't be posting from thursday through sunday.

For realz(homeschooling and the *bleck*social aspect*bleck*)

by ssilence on Deviantart This post is for Courtney@Storing Up Treasures "Fo' Realz" posts.  This may sound rather harsh to people who aren't homeschooled. We homeschool/online schoolers put up with a lot of doubters. Mostly they blab about socialization and social skills and a whole ton of other related stuff that they don't usually talk about(No one comes home from public school saying "Gee whiz, I got so much socialization today!") And it's true, somewhat. A lot of us don't have best friends or even a best friend. A lot of us don't go out to the movies or to the mall. And sometimes we don't have anyone to talk to about stuff we like or when we feel sad. Normally, I lament about it. But I was thinking that maybe it's okay. I'm not saying I don't need friends. Of course I do. But I think that besides lowering peer pressure, the unique (not nonexistent, mind you) socialization(blech I hate that word) aspect

Do you feel called to ministry?

STOP. and take a look at my new blog design! Isn't it beautiful? Thank you Qui! <3 I love Qui. And look at my gorgeous new signature! (I'm putting it at the top of my post so you can see it better.) Anyways. When we think about what we want our careers to be, a lot of my friends tell me they feel called to be a missionary or a pastor or somebody who works in the church. It just feels right to lead worship, to teach kids about the bible, to hand out food to people who don't have any. A lot of people feel something click inside when they go on mission trips and help out in church. It's because we're wired that way. Every single one of us has a inner desire to serve and to worship and to help others. It's how God made us. So if you feel an urge to be in ministry, keep in mind that we're all called to "missionaries"! We can pursue regular careers and still be a missionary to others in our field. I think I might like to be a

What I did today(be a better blogger, day 2)

Beware of whining in this post. Hi. Qui said to talk about what I did today. So here it is. I woke up feeling depressed because I went to the swim team championship party. Everyone knows that they won't see each other till next summer. When I left, not counting the coaches, I said goodbye to two people. I've been on the swim team since I was six. It sounds minor, but I felt like a loser because I've been on the team for so long and I only have two friends. Anyways. Then I had to bike to church. I hate biking to church because I have to get up early and church is five miles away up a tortuous climb in the hot sun(actually, it's a rather nice shady trail along a creek, but hey, do it for three years in a row and see how you like it). We were starting the new church series called Life in The Bubble. Our church makes our own curriculum and even distributes it to other churches to use. It was pretty epic, about this city that's hidden underwater cause the re

Be A Better Blogger: Interview with The Amazing, Flying, Fun-Loving Ember Sparkstone!

This is for my bloggie friend Qui's Be A Better Blogger challenge. I interviewed Ember Sparkstone(aka Chibi*Chick aka Jedi~Chick's cousin). This is a very random interview.  How did you get on the internet? Did Jedi~Chick make you? XD Jedi~Chick  made me make an account on lakehouse as part of april fools and I decided to stay.  My friend introduced me to deviant art and I told JC  about it. What do you do most of the time? Most of the time I am drawing or reading and EXPLODING STUFF.Jk (I wish)  I read your fanfiction, The Amazing Adventures of Ember Sparkstone. What makes you so random? XD      Most of Ember Sparkstones Adventures are part of the dreams/Nightmares I have. Do you enjoy making smiley faces like so: XD? Back to School

Honestly, is anything more exciting than the start of the school year? September is so much more the beginning of "a new year" than boring ol January will ever be. School is what sees children through to become adults, after all. Have I mentioned that I'm really excited? I would say I love school, except that I won't love school anymore in say, February(My least favorite month! Woo!) I have: Brand new notebooks that smell nice and DON'T have ripped pages and doodles! Brand new textbooks and reading novels!(The Great Gatsby and The Glass Menagerie, to name a few) Gel Pens! All different colored Sharpies! I am taking: Honors Modern World Studies Honors American Literature Algebra II Biology Finding your Path 2(Bleck!) Image Design and Editing C++ Programming Spanish II Extracurricular activities are: Blogging(w00t) Reading(What I'm going to be reading, not sure) Dance(currently 3 times a week) Church Small group Chinese Piano Po

I finished Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows!

It was fantastic and beautifully written. Rowling's writing is very natural and she is a master at writing intricate plots. The ending was a tad convoluted, but whatever. I recommend the books to everyone! They're worth every single bit of hype. If you love thrilling adventure books that make you laugh and cry, read them! I can't say much(not even my favorite character) without ruining it, but I hope you read it!

How To Keep On Blogging When You’re Really Busy

This is a guest post I did for Bethany. You know how it is. Your schedule’s crammed to the brim, and you’re running around getting ready for the start of school, unearthing your desk from a mound of junk, shopping for clothes, and sorting all your new books out. Then you’ve got new novels to read, dance class, swimming, and hanging out with friends, and before you know it, you’ve checked Blogger and it’s been a week since you’ve been on. You haven’t commented in AGES, and you look at your Dashboard and nearly faint from the weight of the 77 blogs you’re following. You feel MAJORLY guilty you haven’t posted, and open a “new post” button...only to find you have nothing to write about. How can that be? You’ve been experiencing anything but boredom in the past couple days. Maybe just nothing inspirational has popped into your brain. Let’s think of something...oops! Time’s up and you’ve got to dash to your next activity. All the while Blogger is hanging over you like a
