 woot yeah badgers!

"You might belong in Hufflepuff, Where they are just and loyal, Those patient Hufflepuffs are true, And unafraid of toil"
The Sorting Hat[src]
I haven't been on Pottermore yet, but in most of the unofficial tests I take I'm a Hufflepuff, Unfortunately this is not received well by most of my friends, because most consider Hufflepuff the most boring house.  This quote sums it up:

"Welcome to Hufflepuff! Long live the bumbling badger of mediocrity!"
XD
For non HP fans, here are the characteristics of Hufflepuffs: fairness, loyalty, industry, patience, friendliness. People claim to dislike Hufflepuffs because we aren't considered as smart or clever or brave as the other houses.
But seriously, Hufflepuff is wayy overlooked. So I've compiled this list of reasons why being a Hufflepuff rocks.

1. We make the best friends! We'll always be there for you no matter what, we'd do anything to help you, we are genuine, and we'll keep all your secrets.
2.Our house has turned out the fewest Dark wizards!

3. Some awesome Hufflepuffs: Cedric Diggory, Tonks,  the founder of Hogsmeade, and at least 3 Ministers of Magic!
4.  We're up for anything and well rounded, not always studying, or plotting dastardly acts, or gallivanting off on some crazy adventure.

5.  Guinness world records just made the badger the most fearless animal in the world!

I found this on Tumblr:

We have the cunning of a Slytherin…without having to brag about it.
We have the smarts of a Ravenclaw…but realise that not all knowledge can be found in books!
We have the bravery of a Gryffindor…but know which battles to fight.
This is why I’m proud to be a Hufflepuff!!! THANK YOU JK!!

In the bottom left corner, in very small, cursive, yellow script is “LadyRansom [heart] tumblr” End description.]
This is fantastic! Thanks for the submission!

Being a Hufflepuff doesn’t make a person less valiant, intelligent or cunning.

It just shows that person is more capable of being fair, honest, kind, accepting and patient.

I applied for an illustrating position at my university newspaper. I’m practicing working with Adobe Illustrator. My plan is to become proficient with Illustrator so that, if I choose, I may draw my work on paper and scan it or simply draw it on my laptop. This is about 4 hours work. I’m definitely way faster on paper than laptop, however, there are certain things I can do on Illustrator that I cannot readily do on paper. Yet another reason why I want to be better with Illustrator, even if I don’t get the newspaper job.
Anyway, I thought up this idea the other day and was going to draw it, but realized that it would be the perfect project to try on Illustrator! Enjoy!

But we’re a family after all.

Badger pride!

PS. I know, I'm not officially in Hufflepuff, but I wouldn't be surprised if I ended up there. But there's something awesome about all the houses.

Comments

  1. Hufflepuff's are particularly good finders!

  2. "In Hogwarts, you have three great houses which you can be sorted into. Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw, and Hufflepuff."
    "That's four."
    "Huh?"
"You said 'three', but listed four"
    "Oh, Hufflepuff's not that great."

  3. I haven't even read Potter but I still found that exceedingly amusing :P

  4. I'm not going to deny it - Hufflepuff is AWESOME! But Slytherins aren't necessarily evil...like Qui and I. We're not...well...not ALL evil. xD

  5. dude..no one salivates over Gryffindor...most people sing the praises of ravenclaw, actually. Everyone thinks they are going to end up in Ravenclaw XD. If people had a choice there would be like 4000000000 people in Ravenclaw, 300000000 people in Slytherin, 500 people in Gryffindor, and 3 people in hufflepuff XD

  6. I'm a Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff is cool. But don't bad mouth my house xD. I haven't gotten my Pottermore email yet.

three amazing--and relatively little known--psalms

So I'm reading Psalms in the Bible right now. Well, Psalms is one of the three places I read from. I'm reading the Bible all the way through and read two chapters from three places--the Old Testament, the middle of the Old Testament, and the New Testament--every day. I'm in Deuteronomy and Romans in the other sections, but in the middle I'm still right where I started from-Psalms. Cause Psalms is really really long. I was getting kind of tired of Psalms(which isn't really the right attitude to be reading the Bible in). But I realized there are some really breathtaking passages in Psalms, and I'm glad I read them. These are my three favorites: *Buck Forester on Flikr Psalm 65 This one is about God's spectacular creation. What mighty praise, O God,      belongs to you in Zion. We will fulfill our vows to you, 2       for you answer our prayers.      All of us must come to you. 3  Though we are overwhelmed by our sins,      you forgive them a

Ciel Phantomhive vs. Artemis Fowl

Don't laugh. XD The similarities between the two characters are so distinct and obvious that comparison is inevitable for anyone who's read/watched both series. I seriously thought when I first noticed Black Butler(more popularly referred to as Kuroshitsuji) that it was literally an anime adaption of Artemis Fowl.  Other people have read Artemis Fowl and thought "CIEL HAS A CLONE??!?" So I thought I'd outline some of the differences and analyze who would win. XD Similarities: Appearance:  This is the first similarity, and one of the most major, because if they didn't look so darn alike I don't think the comparison would have been as striking. The above picture of Artemis is a fanart, because there aren't really any good pictures of Artemis, and the manga style makes it more obvious. They are both from the British Isles and have black hair and blue eyes. Both of them lose/change/switch an eye resulting in two different colors.

I need book recommendations!

I heard this movie stunk. C'mon, I'm dying over here! In other, unrelated news, want to hear one of the most overrated book series I've ever read is? Alex Rider. I picked up Stormbreaker after legions of people going "READ ITZ AMARANTHINE TIS AMAZING". It was alright....I guess. I didn't...fall asleep or anything. But it was definitely not mind blowing. For starters, Alex is way underdeveloped as a character. He was a little funny and relate able but not on the same level as I was expecting. And he's a bit cliched in the fact that he's just generally smart and knows everything, without any explanation or emphasis. I guess you could say that he's only a genius when he needs to be, and it doesn't add any other levels to the story. Oh, and did I mention that he's well versed in martial arts too? Yeah. Ender could still kick his butt though. I guess it would be a good read for boys who don't read much. Definitely not YA lev
