Preparation

I hate it whenever I hear of someone moving on or slowing down.
I know what they say. "Retirement is change, a next stage of life, a whole new chapter!"
Nevertheless, I hate it when people leave their jobs, positions, roles, whatever.
Many people I have counted on to stabilize my world are moving on. They aren't retiring, (there was no retirement in the Bible, they say,) but I hate it nonetheless.
So many good people from the last generation are leaving their positions.
Why?
To make room for us.
To me, it seems that with out all these great people in my life, my life couldn't possibly be as good. Think about it. Think about the people in your life
Are you ready to live in a world run by them?
Are you ready to run it yourself?

Those whom you live with today are the people who are going to be shaping the world and the future. They don't seem like they're ready. But nobody seems "ready" to change the world if you ask them.

Keep that in mind. Prepare your generation for the day when everything will be handed down to them and you, and you suddenly have a world on your shoulders.

Are you ready?

three amazing--and relatively little known--psalms

So I'm reading Psalms in the Bible right now. Well, Psalms is one of the three places I read from. I'm reading the Bible all the way through and read two chapters from three places--the Old Testament, the middle of the Old Testament, and the New Testament--every day. I'm in Deuteronomy and Romans in the other sections, but in the middle I'm still right where I started from-Psalms. Cause Psalms is really really long. I was getting kind of tired of Psalms(which isn't really the right attitude to be reading the Bible in). But I realized there are some really breathtaking passages in Psalms, and I'm glad I read them. These are my three favorites: *Buck Forester on Flikr Psalm 65 This one is about God's spectacular creation. What mighty praise, O God,      belongs to you in Zion. We will fulfill our vows to you, 2       for you answer our prayers.      All of us must come to you. 3  Though we are overwhel...

Howl's Moving Castle book analysis

“I feel ill. I'm going to bed, where I may die.” ― Howl, upon having a cold. I've decided to call them "book analysis" because they're not really reviews that tell you how much I liked the book, rather,  me taking the book apart and looking at different aspects of it for my own entertainment. Read on. Also, read Howl's Moving Castle. This is the original cover of Howl's Moving Castle and I have got to say it is the UGLIEST thing I have ever seen. I like the new one much better. Ahem. First of all, I should point out that Howl's Moving Castle is a children's book. However, I like to hold all books I read to the same standard, after all, they're written by adults. I had biased expectations of Howl's Moving Castle from the start, because I kept hearing from several sources how amazing, how fantastic, how hilarious and how romantic the book was, and hearing the perfectly gorgeous soundtrack by Joe Hizazi(somethin...

Black Butler(Kuroshitsuji) and demons in entertainment

I recently started another anime/manga series called Black Butler, which is quickly becoming one of my favorite things of all time. Set in Victorian England, the series follows the loyal butler Sebastian Michealis and his thirteen year old master, the earl Ciel Phantomhive, who became the head of the Phantomhive estate and company after a mysterious fire killed his parents. Ciel is also known as "the Queen's guard dog" as he follows in his family's footsteps as the patrol/crime investigation frontman of the London underworld. Ever at Ciel's side, ready to carry out any order to the letter, Sebastian is actually a demon in a supernatural contract with Ciel: once Sebastian helps Ciel carry out all his goals, including vengeance on those who killed his parents, Sebastian will be allowed to kill Ciel and consume his soul. Black Butler can best be described as a dark, supernatural black comedy/thriller. The series' elaborate art and soundtrack(some of the best...
