We pulled up at MC2 in the parking lot at Saddleback.
There are 6 vehicles we're taking in all. Two passenger vans, one cargo van, two SUV's and a dinky little 7-person Chrysler minivan.
Guess which one I'm riding in.
At least Shawn's driving. When I went to the Dominican Republic on a mission trip I went with Shawn, and we're good friends. When I climbed into the minivan, there was someone else's stuff in the back(apparently someone else is coming). There was also a pillow.
Before we left, we prayed, and went to our vans.
I watched to see who would be coming with us.
I've seen Janelle around church before, but I've never really gotten to know her. I know she's been to several large-scale mission trips(Rwanda, twice, and Kazakhstan.) so I kind of respected her. I know it's going to be a long trip to the border, so I look forward to getting to know her better.
The first thing we start to talk about is REI. Apparently it's both of ours favorite store. Turns out she's also homeschooled(like me), has two younger brothers(like me) and the youngest is named Ryan(like my youngest brother.)
Other topics of conversation: Saddleback Hospital, Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, Prince of Persia, German Shepherds, Kazakhstan, passport pictures, Rwanda, random people, cousins, homeschooling etc. And this is just the 3-4 hours to the border.
I'd put pictures up, but there isn't much to see.
