I post a random picture of boots I found on the internet...(reading update)

and I get more comments than all my other posts usually get, even though those have my actual WRITING on them. Good thing I blog for myself. XD Just kidding. I love you all, really.

I'll post later but right now I am waiting for Qui to pick her editor. (crosses fingers) It would be fun to work with Qui on her story because usually people aren't serious about their stories and never make it past the fourth chapter. Not to mention that they don't make the changes I suggest.

This year, so far I have read 40 books(not counting rereads from this year). My goal this year is 100.

These include:
  • The Mysterious Benedict Society series
  •  2 Republic Commando books
  • The Percy Jackson and the Olympian series
  • The Dark Nest Trilogy
  • Esperanza Rising
  • The Septimus Heap series
  • Frankenstein
  • Every Young Woman's Battle
  • Journey to the Center of the Earth
  • Omen
  • The Artemis Fowl series(except the last one)
  • Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
  • The Scarlet Pimpernel
  • 2 How to Train Your Dragon books
  • Inkheart
  • Lessons from San Quentin
  • Maximum Ride
  • Beauty Fades, Dumb is Forever
  • Leprechauns, Unicorns, and Mark Kurrian.
  • Vortex
  • 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea
I haven't been reading that many Star Wars books this year, because I read most of them already. :P Last year I read almost ONLY Star Wars books. So this year I have a break.

  6. You know, I would give my right arm to go to Disneyland with Darth Vader. Actually, he'd probably require the right arm as a fee.

(fangirl flapping of arms and running around in circles) (eee) (ignore this)(spoilers for Son of Neptune)

my fangirl obsessions go in cycles...this week, it's totally Heroes of Olympus/Percy Jackson(again)

There's this amazing artist on deviantart...burdge-bug...who does AMAZING Percy Jackson, Hunger Games, Harry Potter, Maximum Ride, and even HOWL'S MOVING CASTLE fanart. Now, we need to get her to read Artemis Fowl...XD.

Anyways, here are some of my favorites of hers.

I kind of want to pull a Ms. Black and blast Jason right off the tapestry. There's some speculation to whether or not Annabeth will be on the Argo II. I kind of don't want her to be, so Nico can join instead. Then again, if Nico is already in Rome(as speculated at the end of Neptune) there's still room.  GAH RR WHY MUST YOU TORMENT US SO

love this scene...Senatus Populusque Romanus FTW.

Which do you think is cooler? Camp Half Blood or Camp Jupiter? Camp Jupiter definitely has a more efficient way of doing things(separating by cohort instead of parentage, sending large groups instead o…

Ciel Phantomhive vs. Artemis Fowl

Don't laugh. XD
The similarities between the two characters are so distinct and obvious that comparison is inevitable for anyone who's read/watched both series. I seriously thought when I first noticed Black Butler(more popularly referred to as Kuroshitsuji) that it was literally an anime adaption of Artemis Fowl.  Other people have read Artemis Fowl and thought "CIEL HAS A CLONE??!?"
So I thought I'd outline some of the differences and analyze who would win. XD
Similarities:
Appearance:  This is the first similarity, and one of the most major, because if they didn't look so darn alike I don't think the comparison would have been as striking. The above picture of Artemis is a fanart, because there aren't really any good pictures of Artemis, and the manga style makes it more obvious. They are both from the British Isles and have black hair and blue eyes. Both of them lose/change/switch an eye resulting in two different colors.
Circumstance: They both s…

Howl's Moving Castle book analysis

“I feel ill. I'm going to bed, where I may die.”
― Howl, upon having a cold. I've decided to call them "book analysis" because they're not really reviews that tell you how much I liked the book, rather,  me taking the book apart and looking at different aspects of it for my own entertainment. Read on. Also, read Howl's Moving Castle.

This is the original cover of Howl's Moving Castle and I have got to say it is the UGLIEST thing I have ever seen. I like the new one much better.

Ahem.

First of all, I should point out that Howl's Moving Castle is a children's book. However, I like to hold all books I read to the same standard, after all, they're written by adults.

I had biased expectations of Howl's Moving Castle from the start, because I kept hearing from several sources how amazing, how fantastic, how hilarious and how romantic the book was, and hearing the perfectly gorgeous soundtrack by Joe Hizazi(something or other.)

Howl's Movi…
