augh

Every time I try to post I have to stop. I've tried to post like, fifty times.

Okay- so I spent the whole morning at Borders. I read Vortex, Edge of Victory:Rebirth, and Diary of a Wimpy Kid. Be in awe of my sophisticated literature. After that, I watched Shannah play KOTOR on her laptop.

THEN

I just got back from sitting at Albertsons for three hours asking people to donate money and food for the food drive. It's raining and I'm tired.

I probably won't be able to post when my cousins come. So don't think I'm dead or anything, okay?

I have two novel pitches/ideas. I'm so glad I finished Or Die Trying so I can start something else!

Number 1: Liadan, a middle schooler, goes to search for her crimelord mother after her dad dies. I like these kinds of stories. I got this from a awesome dream.

Number 2: Kind of a background on Vana Dorja(from my current book) and her poor childhood on Marahasia.

Oh, and I finally got an idea for my rewrite.

My quick summaries of the two Star Wars books I read today.

FOTJ: Vortex(Spoilers!)
Wow. What a doozy. This was a very highly-anticipated book, and it was worth it. Fate of the Jedi has been going remarkably slow, it's been passing quickly without much happening. But this is where the plot speeds up like greased lightning.
The Jedi Order rescues Valin and Jysella.
They make plans against Daala
Tahiri's trial is almost resolved
Jaina/Jag get re-re-engaged
And the dung beetle of a leader Kenth Hamner commits suicide.
And so much has happened to Luke and Ben, I'm not sure if I understand it.
UPDATE:
The dung beetle(Kenth Hamner) doesn't commit suicide. He duels with Saba Sebatyne, because he was trying to be a pacifist wimp while the council tried to actually get somewhere, and kriffin stabbed her in the chest before dying.

Edge of Victory: Rebirth
I'd been really wanting to read this because I love Kyp Durron. It was a little disappointing. Not much happens. Ya gotta love Nen Yim though.

I'm on the edge of my seat until Ascension(or is it Conviction?) next year.

  1. I just read Diary of a Wimpy Kid, it was pretty good.

Number 1 sounds very interesting, and so does Number 2. Is your novel going to be sold in stores, or is it just a personal novel?

And you finished Vortex?! Awesome!!! Just out of curiosity, what happens to Vestara Khai? Just curious.

  2. Go Kyp! I just met him this past week in Jedi Search. :D

  3. No, it's just personal. I'm not that good! xD
Vestara? She goes around making smart remarks about Jedi and Ben, and betrays everyone and confuses me.

Oh yeah, and she kills Taalon to put him out of his misery while he's getting tortured by Abeloth.

  4. Kenth died?!? That's terrible! Though like I've said before, I don't really keep up with the post NJO novels, so maybe it isn't? lol

  5. Amaranthine: Speaking of personal novels, where do you go to publish just one copy? I googled it, but couldn't find anything. Or do you just sorta put it together yourself?

So Jag and Jaina were SPOILER: re-re- engaged. *laughs* I think it'd start to get really pathetic if they break up again.

  7. Leia-The NaNoWriMo winners get it from CreateSpace, but I know Lulu is a great place to get it published!

    Alex-Kenth was pretty pathetic......
Barriss-Diary of a Wimpy Kid is like junk food for your brain. xD "Interesting" no. "Addicting"? Yes.

  8. I came across Lulu, but they made it sound like you had to sell the books. I only want one copy. I don't want it sold either. Does the site let you print just one copy? I'm trying to find information for a friend of mine and for myself. Since you seem to know, I hope you don't mind me asking. =)

three amazing--and relatively little known--psalms

So I'm reading Psalms in the Bible right now. Well, Psalms is one of the three places I read from. I'm reading the Bible all the way through and read two chapters from three places--the Old Testament, the middle of the Old Testament, and the New Testament--every day. I'm in Deuteronomy and Romans in the other sections, but in the middle I'm still right where I started from-Psalms. Cause Psalms is really really long. I was getting kind of tired of Psalms(which isn't really the right attitude to be reading the Bible in). But I realized there are some really breathtaking passages in Psalms, and I'm glad I read them. These are my three favorites: *Buck Forester on Flikr Psalm 65 This one is about God's spectacular creation. What mighty praise, O God,      belongs to you in Zion. We will fulfill our vows to you, 2       for you answer our prayers.      All of us must come to you. 3  Though we are overwhel...

Howl's Moving Castle book analysis

“I feel ill. I'm going to bed, where I may die.” ― Howl, upon having a cold. I've decided to call them "book analysis" because they're not really reviews that tell you how much I liked the book, rather,  me taking the book apart and looking at different aspects of it for my own entertainment. Read on. Also, read Howl's Moving Castle. This is the original cover of Howl's Moving Castle and I have got to say it is the UGLIEST thing I have ever seen. I like the new one much better. Ahem. First of all, I should point out that Howl's Moving Castle is a children's book. However, I like to hold all books I read to the same standard, after all, they're written by adults. I had biased expectations of Howl's Moving Castle from the start, because I kept hearing from several sources how amazing, how fantastic, how hilarious and how romantic the book was, and hearing the perfectly gorgeous soundtrack by Joe Hizazi(somethin...

Her Universe

Before I start, let me just say this. I appreciate what Ashley Eckstein is doing. It's obvious she really cares about and is enthusiastic about her line, and she's using her position to make our days(and wardrobes, apparently) a little more cheerful. However, I don't think Her Universe is the huge movement she expects it to be. The website   talks about how female SW fans have a hard time finding merchandise designed "just for us" and the trials of having to wear either "very girly stuff" or "men's stuff in small sizes."   This post from Club Jade clearly favors and is enthusiastic of Her Universe. Vivenne's comment,(the 6th) says everything more eloquently than I ever could. "However, it’s NOT our turn. We’re NOT getting what they’ve got. I STILL don’t wear Star Wars franchise stuff because there is no way I can afford Her Universe. $30 for a TEE SHIRT? No. No no no. I’ll keep buying the $9.99 shirts for g...
