the perils of de online world, pt. 396

So Audrey, on her blog, alerted us all to Courtney(Storing Up Treasures) problems. Apparently, people were using her words against her, and she was wondering whether or not she should continue blogging. I'm too lazy to provide a link, but go check it out on Audrey's blog.

And that's another peril of the online world. You're always taking the risk that your online world might overlap into your regular world, for the worst. That's why I use a confusing pseudonym.(Actually, it's because I don't like my real name.) So what I do is:

When I write about real people, I try to never portray anyone in a negative light. You never know who might be reading it(I learned that from my Her Universe post.). Or at least change their name, gender, and ethnicity.

My advice to Courtney?(Although I'm not in the position to give her any advice, since she has oh, five hundred more followers than me.)

I don't know the severity of the incidents, but I wish she'd keep blogging. She blogs for God's kingdom, and I know she's touched a lot of lives.

And she makes money from the blog(Yes, I have a fame-and-money complex). You ain't gonna make any money listening to them haters, girl.

So it's definitely something she should pray about. And we'll all pray for her.

PS. Check out my newest follower's blog. It's a great blog. Also, he's been blogging for just as long as I have, but has twice as many posts. But he has just like, eight followers. Follow him! He really needs to get that self promotion thing going.

my fangirl obsessions go in cycles...this week, it's totally Heroes of Olympus/Percy Jackson(again)

There's this amazing artist on deviantart...burdge-bug...who does AMAZING Percy Jackson, Hunger Games, Harry Potter, Maximum Ride, and even HOWL'S MOVING CASTLE fanart. Now, we need to get her to read Artemis Fowl...XD.

Anyways, here are some of my favorites of hers.

I kind of want to pull a Ms. Black and blast Jason right off the tapestry. There's some speculation to whether or not Annabeth will be on the Argo II. I kind of don't want her to be, so Nico can join instead. Then again, if Nico is already in Rome(as speculated at the end of Neptune) there's still room.  GAH RR WHY MUST YOU TORMENT US SO

love this scene...Senatus Populusque Romanus FTW.

Which do you think is cooler? Camp Half Blood or Camp Jupiter? Camp Jupiter definitely has a more efficient way of doing things(separating by cohort instead of parentage, sending large groups instead o…

Ciel Phantomhive vs. Artemis Fowl

Don't laugh. XD
The similarities between the two characters are so distinct and obvious that comparison is inevitable for anyone who's read/watched both series. I seriously thought when I first noticed Black Butler(more popularly referred to as Kuroshitsuji) that it was literally an anime adaption of Artemis Fowl.  Other people have read Artemis Fowl and thought "CIEL HAS A CLONE??!?"
So I thought I'd outline some of the differences and analyze who would win. XD
Similarities:
Appearance:  This is the first similarity, and one of the most major, because if they didn't look so darn alike I don't think the comparison would have been as striking. The above picture of Artemis is a fanart, because there aren't really any good pictures of Artemis, and the manga style makes it more obvious. They are both from the British Isles and have black hair and blue eyes. Both of them lose/change/switch an eye resulting in two different colors.
Circumstance: They both s…

Howl's Moving Castle book analysis

“I feel ill. I'm going to bed, where I may die.”
― Howl, upon having a cold. I've decided to call them "book analysis" because they're not really reviews that tell you how much I liked the book, rather,  me taking the book apart and looking at different aspects of it for my own entertainment. Read on. Also, read Howl's Moving Castle.

This is the original cover of Howl's Moving Castle and I have got to say it is the UGLIEST thing I have ever seen. I like the new one much better.

Ahem.

First of all, I should point out that Howl's Moving Castle is a children's book. However, I like to hold all books I read to the same standard, after all, they're written by adults.

I had biased expectations of Howl's Moving Castle from the start, because I kept hearing from several sources how amazing, how fantastic, how hilarious and how romantic the book was, and hearing the perfectly gorgeous soundtrack by Joe Hizazi(something or other.)

Howl's Movi…
